“I am delighted to be joining Covington’s preeminent life sciences team,” said Dr. Koyuncu. “Covington’s commitment to the innovative life sciences industry and strategic vision for the group are just two of the many reasons why I feel this is the right fit for my clients and practice.” At Covington, which he will join effective, January 1, 2014, Dr. Koyuncu will head the firm’s German life sciences practice and will be a member of the firm’s compliance practice.

Dr. Koyuncu earned his law and medical degrees from the University of Cologne. He is a member of the regulatory Ethics Committee (Institutional Review Board) of the University of Dresden, and recently acted as an expert in a public hearing on medical devices law before the German Federal Parliament’s health committee. Dr. Koyuncu is admitted to the Bar in Düsseldorf, and Ms. Stute in Cologne, Germany. Both lawyers are licensed to practice in Germany and will be in Belgium in January.
