Gilbert + Tobin strengthens national Energy and Resources Practice

Justin has extensive experience in energy and resources law, advising clients on commercial and resources transactions across the mining and oil and gas industries. His expertise includes advising Australian publicly listed mining and resources companies on private M&A transactions, equity capital fundraising and general ASX compliance and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Gilbert + Tobin, Justin was a partner at Herbert Smith Freehills where he led the mining team in the Perth office.

Perth managing partner, Michael Blakiston said the appointment reflects the ongoing development of the firm’s Energy and Resources practice, particularly in the oil and gas industry.

Justin is a member of the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association (AMPLA) and was previously the principal lecturer at the mining and resources law unit at the Murdoch University School of Law. He is recognised as a leading energy and resources lawyer in the current edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia.
