Senior transactional lawyer Jim Rossiter joins Dentons Canada

Dentons Canada LLP is pleased to announce that Jim Rossiter has joined the firm as a partner in its Toronto office. Jim is a trusted senior transactional lawyer with over 25 years’ experience leading high profile acquisitions, divestitures and financings in the US and Canada.

Jim has a strong transactional cross-border practice (Canada/US), including many connections in the sports industry. Jim’s practice is very diverse and includes the acquisition and financing of Canadian and US NHL hockey teams and arenas, hotels, office towers, a major airline catering company and a leading Canadian cosmetics company.

“Jim’s established cross-border practice and broad experience will be of tremendous benefit to our clients, and is an excellent fit with the strengths of our Toronto office and our global platform,” says Mike Kaplan, Managing Partner of Dentons Canada’s Toronto office.

“Markedly different from other international law firms, Dentons is polycentric, with substantial local depth and breadth in all key markets, including in the US, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Canada,” says Jim Rossiter. “With 550 lawyers in six cities in Canada and 750 attorneys in 15 cities in the US anchored by a 250-attorney office in New York, Dentons has a ‘critical mass’ of lawyers and offices in both the US and Canada. This is an unbeatable combination.”

Prior to joining Dentons Canada, Jim practiced at Baker McKenzie.
