Dentons Europe has appointed two new partners. Ramin Hariri (Energy/Projects) and Vincent Lacombe (Energy/Tax) have joined the firm’s Energy practice. They are based in the Paris office.
Ramin Hariri assists clients on matters relating to France and Africa, as well as the Middle East. He has a wealth of experience in oil and gas, mining, energy and infrastructure, public-private partnerships and project finance. Ramin has a PhD in law.
Vincent Lacombe focuses on tax aspects of investment, projects, mergers and acquisitions, international contracts, negotiations with governments, as well as ruling claims, tax audits assistance, and project finance in the energy, mining and infrastructure sectors.
Ramin and Vincent represent a number of large energy and utilities companies and governments. Their arrival is part of Dentons’ strategic vision of providing a strong Energy practice globally, which includes a clear focus on Francophone Africa. They bring valuable project finance and tax expertise to the existing Energy practice, with a particular emphasis on oil and gas and mining, as well as power and infrastructure work.
The arrival of this new partner duo is an important development for Dentons, given that they collectively bring more than 30 years’ of exposure to Francophone Africa. They have acquired unique regional know-how that is strongly sought by clients doing business there. Dentons’ strong global brand, world-class energy work and global reach, including more than 600 lawyers currently working for clients in energy and related sectors, provide Ramin and Vincent with an excellent platform to further grow the Energy practice.
