Honigman’s Growing IP Litigation Practice Group Expands with the Addition of Partner Leigh C. Taggart

For the third time in a month, Honigman has expanded its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group by adding a new partner, Leigh C. Taggart. He brings more than 20 years of IP and IP Litigation legal experience to Honigman and is located in the firm’s Oakland County office. Honigman’s growing IP practice serves clients locally, nationally and internationally.

Taggart is a highly experienced and respected intellectual property attorney who litigates and mediates patent, trademark, copyright, antitrust and trade secret matters throughout the United States. He serves clients in the medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive, silicon wafer, consumer products and commercial jet engine industries.  He also has significant experience in international trademark, unfair competition and commercial disputes, including disputes in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Bulgaria, Lebanon and Australia.

He earned a J.D., with honors, from Cornell University Law School and a B.A. in philosophy from Haverford College. He is licensed to practice in Michigan and New York and currently serves as co-chair of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Eastern District of Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Taggart joins Honigman from Rader, Fishman & Grauer PLLC in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Before joining Rader, Taggart was general counsel and secretary of Rexair, Inc. (now Rexair LLC), a manufacturer of a well-known branded consumer product sold in more than 70 countries.
