Michael P. Roche has joined LeClairRyan as a partner on the firm’s Professional Liability Defense and Commercial Litigation Practice Area Teams. He will be resident in the national law firm’s Boston office.
Roche’s practice focuses on commercial insurance coverage, environmental claims, construction defect claims, title insurance and defense of claims against brokers, insurance agents, real estate agents and attorneys. He has more than 15 years of experience handling insurance coverage, policy underwriting, insurance regulation, professional liability and business litigation matters. He also maintains an active appellate practice.
He achieved the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2007 and serves on the Board of Directors of the CPCU Boston Chapter. Roche is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association and is a former Chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Insurance Law Committee. Additionally, he serves on a committee to select the attorney malpractice insurance program which the Boston Bar Association offers its members. Roche is a founding member of the Marshfield Education Foundation’s Board of Directors and is active in coaching youth sports.
He is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School (J.D.) and Providence College (B.A.) and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts state and federal courts.
