Stephen S. Aichele Returns to Saul Ewing LLP

Stephen S. Aichele is returning to Saul Ewing after serving for nearly three years as Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett’s Chief of Staff and former General Counsel of the Commonwealth.

Before his service in the Corbett administration, Aichele spent his entire 35-year legal career at Saul Ewing where he served in various leadership roles including Managing Partner and Chairman. Aichele has a long history of working with private and governmental entities to create value in projects, and intends to continue that practice with a new emphasis on advising clients who need to work with government to get deals done.

Aichele said, “It was an honor serving the people of the Commonwealth and a privilege to work with Governor Corbett on a variety of issues that were important to the state. During my time in government, Saul Ewing has continued to grow and expand into new markets, and I am excited to be back in the role of counselor to our clients throughout the state.”

“We could not be more thrilled that Steve has decided to re-join the firm,” said Managing Partner David S. Antzis. “He has been recognized as an excellent attorney and has been a strong community ambassador and a role model and mentor for our young attorneys. We are lucky to have him back.”

Before joining Saul Ewing, Aichele served more than four years active duty in the U.S. Navy and retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve with the rank of Captain. He earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his J.D. from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law.
