The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Steven M. Goldman has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner in the Corporate Services Practice Group.
“Steve is a great addition to Quarles & Brady,” said Ken Hallett, Chair of the Corporate Services Practice Group. “He brings extensive and in-depth transactional franchise and related experience, including from an in-house perspective that will benefit our Corporate Services Group.”
Prior to joining the firm, Goldman was a Executive Vice President and corporate officer at Marriott International, Inc. and a partner at Parker Hudson Rainer & Dobbs LLP in Atlanta. He has extensive in-house, first chair experience in lodging, franchise, distribution, licensing, and bankruptcy and receivership. Goldman has seen and successfully handled almost any legal issue that a franchise business or lodging company might encounter. He has litigated franchise termination disputes, bankruptcy and receivership matters, handled the most complex and the most routine licensing transactions, and provided counseling solutions for innumerable franchise, intellectual property, and distribution law challenges.
Goldman received his law degree, with honors, from the University of Georgia, where he was Articles Editor, and his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Vermont, where he was Phi Beta Kappa.
