Global law firm Proskauer announced today that Michael J. Choate has joined the firm’s preeminent Real Estate Capital Markets group as a Partner. Mr. Choate has a distinguished track record with almost 25 years’ experience in REITs, securities and corporate finance, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Choate will be joined by Kevin M. Lippert who will serve as Senior Counsel. Both will be resident in the firm’s Chicago office.

Mr. Choate advises both publicly-traded and non-listed REITs in equity and debt offerings, merger and acquisition transactions and internalization transactions. He counsels publicly traded entities on matters of corporate governance, securities law, compliance and proxy and tender offer situations. Mr. Lippert also focuses his practice on REITs, including public and private offerings of equity and debt securities and mergers and acquisitions.
