Technology and Communications Partner Joins Edwards Wildman’s IP Team in London

Edwards Wildman is pleased to announce that Sarah Pearce has joined the London office as a partner in its Intellectual Property practice. Her practice focuses on information technology, communications, and outsourcing projects, and she regularly advises clients on complex IT transactions and procurement.

Pearce advises on a variety of general commercial matters, including standard terms of business, such as supply and support agreements, and distribution and licensing arrangements. Acting for both customers and suppliers, she has extensive knowledge of developing contractual structures for a wide variety of commercial and multi-jurisdictional arrangements. In addition, she has represented clients on numerous e-commerce projects and has significant experience in commercial and regulatory media, outsourcing, data protection and privacy.

“Sarah’s experience in advising UK, French, and international clients on a wide range of commercial issues complements our strategic practice areas,” said Nick Bolter, partner-in-charge of Edwards Wildman’s London office. “Her experience on international outsourcing projects, acting for clients in both common law and civil law jurisdictions, will be a tremendous asset as we expand.”

Before joining Edwards Wildman, Pearce was counsel in the International Commercial Group in Bird & Bird’s Paris office. Previously based in Bird & Bird’s London office, she relocated in February 2010 to Paris. Before that, she was a solicitor in the Commercial Department of Simmons & Simmons’ London office for five years.

Dual qualified in England & Wales and France, Pearce is fluent in French and a member of the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Electronic Business Group, Computer Law Group, Le Web, TechCrunch, Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society and regularly writes articles and gives.
