Polsinelli added veteran attorney Jane E. Fedder to the firm as shareholder to assist clients in environmental litigation and insurance recovery matters. Fedder will practice in the firm’s St. Louis office, and joins a national team of attorneys who counsel and represent clients in civil and enforcement actions throughout the United States.
“Jane’s a great compliment to our cadre of environmental and insurance recovery litigators,” said Troy Froderman, chair of Environmental Litigation. “Her national practice and extensive experience addressing complex environmental and insurance issues for a broad spectrum of clients is a perfect fit with our firm.”

Fedder also brings a broad background in legal ethics and professional responsibility to Polsinelli. She was recently honored by Missouri’s Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel for eight years of service to the Missouri Supreme Court as a Disciplinary Committee member. She is listed in Chambers USA, Who’s Who in American Law, and earned an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
She earned her law degree from Washington University School of Law where both her Note and Case Comment were published in the Journal of Urban & Contemporary Law, and graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, magna cum laude. She was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1988 and the Illinois bar in 1989. Fedder is a frequent author and presenter and is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis; American Bar Association, including the Environmental Litigation Committee and Subcommittee of Women Environmental Litigators (SWEL); Environmental Law Institute; Women’s Council on Energy and the Environment (WCEE); and Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater Saint Louis.
When she’s not practicing law, Fedder enjoys spending time with family and friends and is active in the community. She served on the board of directors of Voices for Children (formerly known as Court Appointed Special Advocates of St. Louis County, Inc.) from 2006 to 2007. In addition, she has been actively involved with the Missouri Campaign for Change’s Voter Protection Program, served as a Missouri Democratic Party Voter Protection Volunteer in 2012, and has been a member of the Pre-law Advisory Council at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
