Vedder Price Welcomes Former Holland & Knight Partner

Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Robert C. MacKichan, Jr. has joined the firm’s Government Contracts practice today as Shareholder in the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Mr. MacKichan focuses his government contracts practice on matters relating to federal real estate. His breadth of experience includes representing building owners, commercial brokers, property managers and real estate developers nationwide.

Nemeroff, President and CEO of Vedder Price, stated, “adding Bob to our Government Contracts practice allows us to provide expanded real estate capabilities to our existing government contracts clients. His high-level positions with the U.S. General Services Administration, including General Counsel, and his term as Associate Director for the White House provide excellent experience and perspective. We’re excited to have him join us.”

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Bob was a partner in the Washington, DC office of Holland & Knight. During his time as General Counsel for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), he handled matters such as the construction authorization of the International Cultural and Trade Center building (now named the Ronald Reagan Federal Building) in Washington, DC in addition to other GSA public bond financing projects. He also spearheaded the creation of the GSA Lease Revision Task Force, which resulted in numerous changes in the standard clauses of government leases.

Bob earned his B.A. from the University of the Pacific and his J.D. from the University’s McGeorge School of Law.
