Bressler Welcomes Rebecca Leon As A New Member In Florida

Rebecca will head the Firm’s International Financial Services Regulation group, which will focus on counseling broker-dealers, investment advisers, fund managers, banks and wealth managers on  international regulatory, transactional, and operational matters.  Rebecca has significant experience advising clients in developing international and cross-border operations — from accepting their first foreign investors to establishing foreign subsidiaries and representative offices. She also counsels clients on domestic SEC and FINRA regulatory issues.

Earlier in her career, Rebecca represented brokerage firms in NASD and NYSE arbitrations, SEC investigations and civil litigations. She has also assisted issuers with public offerings, private placements and routine securities filings. Rebecca served the SEC as a staff attorney in the Enforcement Division of the New York Office, and most recently was with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.  Rebecca is admitted in both Florida and New York and has an M.B.A. in finance.

“I’m excited to join Bressler, Amery & Ross and to bring my international experience to our clients.  My work with global financial services regulation, especially in Latin America, has been and will be particularly important to this diverse South Florida business community.  I look forward to leveraging my global practice and skill with this dynamic, forward-looking firm and its clients,” said Rebecca Leon.

“We are proud to offer Rebecca’s international expertise to our financial institution clients.  International and cross-border business is becoming a greater part of  our clients’ services.  Having someone as skilled and experienced as Rebecca to handle the ever-changing international regulatory landscape is vital to our clients, as well as to any business working overseas,” said Wes Holston, Managing Partner of Bressler’s Florida office.
