DLA Piper has appointed Ronan Mellon as a partner in the Structured Finance team, part of the Finance & Projects group. Ronan will be based in the firm’s London office.
Prior to joining DLA Piper, Ronan was an associate in the Capital Markets Group at White & Case. He was at White & Case for ten years during which time he was seconded to Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and BNP Paribas.
Ronan has broad structured finance experience which covers securitisations, CDO’s, CFO’s, CLO’s, DPRs, SIVs, Covered Bonds, repackagings and derivatives and emerging markets bond issues. He has represented arrangers, investment managers and investors and works on both New York law and English law governed transactions.
Chambers & Partners 2013 describes Ronan as “a key figure in the area of structured finance. He has had high levels of involvement in some of the firm’s most complex cases over the past year.”
