Duane Morris Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Offices Add Gaming Partner Robert L. Ruben

Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Robert L. Ruben has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group as a partner in the firm’s Baltimore and Washington, D.C. offices. Ruben’s arrival further strengthens Duane Morris’ national gaming industry and corporate practices. Ruben joins the firm from Saul Ewing LLP, where he was chair of the firm’s Gaming & Racinos Practice Group.

“We are thrilled that Rob has chosen to join us at Duane Morris,” said George Nemphos, chair of Duane Morris’ Corporate Practice Group and the managing partner of the firm’s Baltimore office. “Rob’s practice fits perfectly with both our Baltimore and D.C. offices and our Corporate Practice Group.”

Ruben focuses his practice on business and finance work for the gaming industry. He represents casino owners in licensing matters, including competitive bidding for casino licenses, regulatory, financing and M&A matters in various states, in particular Maryland and Pennsylvania. He also represents lenders, investors, vendors and investment bankers who do business with casinos. Additionally, Ruben represents clients in non-gaming corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions work and regulatory matters.

Ruben earned his J.D. in 1986 from The Dickinson School of Law at Penn State, where he served on the Law Review and was a member of the Woolsack Honor Society. He graduated in 1983 with a B.A. from the University of Virginia. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
