Polsinelli Builds Capacity in Science and Technology With New Shareholder

Polsinelli welcomes Bradley W. Crawford to its Chicago office, where he will serve clients in the science and technology sector.

Bringing with him more than 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, as a bench chemist, an inventor, a law clerk, and as a registered patent attorney, Crawford fully understands all aspects of generating, obtaining and protecting intellectual property. His extensive experience includes drafting patent applications, handling U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, drafting infringement, freedom to operate, and non-infringement opinions in areas such as pharmaceuticals and industrial chemistry, and working on several ANDA cases. In addition, he also worked as in-house counsel at a Fortune 50 chemical company, where he did agreement work, rendered opinions, handled prosecution and provided training and legal counsel for his various in-house businesses.

An Illinois native and a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law, Crawford was drawn to Polsinelli because of the opportunity the firm presents to continue leveraging his pharmaceutical background, while offering clients access to a broad spectrum of business services. “It’s exciting to be part of a firm with so much to offer its clients,” Crawford says. “When you can meet so many of a business’ legal needs, there’s an opportunity to build a really deep and long-term relationship.”

“We’re thrilled to have Brad as part of the team,” says the firm’s Life Sciences and Technology Division Chair Patrick Woolley. “He brings great insights and technical understanding to our group. As someone who truly understands our clients’ business from the inside out, he’s going to play an important role in helping us grow our practice nationwide.”
