Roetzel Welcomes Rose M. Schindler to Fort Lauderdale Office, Continuing Firm Expansion in South Florida

Roetzel is pleased to announce that securities litigation attorney Rose M. Schindler has joined the firm as a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office, continuing Roetzel’s growth throughout South Florida.

“Rose is a highly experienced attorney and practice area leader in the financial services industry and is a welcome addition to our teams serving clients in South Florida and all Roetzel offices,” said Lori Heyer-Bednar, Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. “With the addition of Rose and other partners who recently have joined the firm, we are enthusiastic about the great strides that we continue to make in growing our Fort Lauderdale office and expanding our presence throughout the region.”

In 2013, Roetzel has added nine attorneys to the firm’s Florida offices, five of whom are in Fort Lauderdale.

Ms. Schindler focuses her practice on securities litigation, primarily securities arbitration. Her cases also involve commodities litigation, regulatory investigations and compliance consulting. A certified regulatory compliance professional, Ms. Schindler previously held supervisory and management positions with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). She served as director of FINRA’s Southeast Regional Office of Dispute Resolution, where she was responsible for the securities regulator’s arbitration and mediation programs in the Southeast. As associate regional director of the SEC’s Southeast Office, Ms. Schindler oversaw the SEC’s enforcement and regulatory programs throughout the Southeast. Ms. Schindler also was in-house litigation counsel for A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc.

Ms. Schindler earned her J.D. from DePaul University School of Law. She also has an M.S.W. from St. Louis University, an M.S.Ed. from Southern Illinois University and a B.A. from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.
