Andrew L. McIntosh Joins Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP

Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce a major addition to their Tampa, Florida office.

Andrew L. McIntosh has joined the firm as a Partner practicing in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, international business, and franchising, among others.  Andrew is AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Many of Andrew’s clients are identified with renewable energies, green build and sustainable business initiatives.  He also represents a group of organizations that own a professional soccer franchise and commercial rights to certain sports medicine technologies.

From 2005 to 2012, Andrew served as an Honorary Consul for Canada – one of 16 in the U.S. –pursuant to the Government of Canada’s “Enhanced Representation Initiative.”  He continues to facilitate trade and investment activities through the Canadian Consulate General at Miami, assisting Canadian businesses with interests in Florida, and U.S.-based firms seeking to do business in Canada.  He is active with local economic development organizations.

Andrew is a co-founder of Cross Border Partners Advisory Services which provides project management and consulting services to businesses expanding their platform through exports or direct investment.  The work of CBP compliments Andrew’s law practice and supports economic development efforts for the benefit of clients and the community as a whole.

In addition to advancing Canada-Florida relationships, Andrew is heavily engaged in community and economic development activities with the Greater Tampa Chamber, the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation and other organizations.

Andrew received his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law.  He received is LL.B. from Queens University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and his B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University at Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
