Benesch is pleased to announce that partner Risto Pribisich and associate Lindsey Rothrock have joined the firm’s Innovations, Information Technology & Intellectual Property (3iP) Practice Group.
Mr. Pribisich’s practice includes all facets of intellectual property and technology law, including intellectual property litigation, patent preparation and prosecution, rendering opinions, negotiating technology transactions, and data security counseling. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in patent infringement and trade secret litigation. His patent preparation practice focuses on the preparation, prosecution and evaluation of patents in the mechanical, electromechanical, polymer, and software arts. Mr. Pribisich counsels clients on intellectual property issues such as cease and desist letters, reexamination procedures, and opinions regarding infringement, patentability and validity. He counsels clients in negotiating intellectual property licenses and third-party software agreements. Mr. Pribisich also counsels client in avoiding data security breaches, and complying with state and federal laws in the event of a data breach. Mr. Pribisich received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1992; his M.S. in Macromolecular Science and Polymer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1995; and his J.D., cum laude, from Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2006. He is based in the firm’s Cleveland office.
Ms. Rothrock assists clients in protecting their brands, creative works and proprietary information. Ms. Rothrock represents and advises clients with regard to federal and international trademark prosecution. In managing national and international trademark portfolios, she provides guidance to clients regarding brand development, clearance, registration and maintenance. She also regularly advises and assists clients regarding trademark and copyright infringement and enforcement issues. This often involves preparing and responding to cease and desist letters, representing and defending clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and negotiating consent-to-use and co-existence agreements. Ms. Rothrock received her B.A. from Indiana University – Bloomington in 2001 and her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2004. She is based in the firm’s Indianapolis office.
