Lawyers joining also include corporate and commercial partners Guillermo Guerra and Fernando Marroquin, and finance and capital markets partner Rafael Bazan.
They come from Spanish firm Ramón y Cajal and will join Baker & McKenzie on 1 August.
Madrid Managing Partner José Maria Alonso said, “The addition of this high-quality team to our Madrid office takes our Spanish corporate and finance offering to a new level. It positions us well to serve the needs of our key Spanish and international clients on complex transactions.”
Koen Vanhaerents, Chair of Baker & McKenzie’s EMEA region, added, “This team hire significantly enhances our transactional capabilities in the Spanish market. It also gives the new team’s clients access to integrated legal advice across borders, particularly in Latin America, where many are seeking to invest and where we have 15 offices and more than 1,100 lawyers.”
