New Partner to Head Manchester Property Litigation Team

Shoosmiths has hired a new partner to head its Manchester property litigation team.

Wayne Nash advises private and public sector clients on real estate litigation matters, including enforcement action against defaulting tenants, retail administrations, strategic portfolio management, and dilapidations claims.

He also has experience in real estate, corporate restructuring and debt.

Nash joins from Pannone, where he was a senior associate.

Partner and Shoosmiths’ national head of property litigation Nick Shepherd said: “We’ve a strong, growing real estate team in Manchester, and by bringing in a proven litigator with an excellent reputation and connections – not just in the North West, but further afield, too – we can further develop the property litigation function.

“Not only will it support what the real estate team is already doing with clients such as Marston’s, AstraZeneca and Manchester Airport, but, with Wayne’s input, establish its own work streams.”

Shoosmiths’ 19-strong national property litigation team is one of the largest and most experienced in the country, specialising in the full range of landlord and tenant litigation, and other property disputes.

It in turn is part of the firm’s Real Estate practice group, also one of the largest in the UK. As well as property litigation, it comprises commercial property, construction, planning, and environmental specialists. Clients include commercial and residential developers, investors, retail and leisure operators, major corporate occupiers, banks and other funders, and a range of public sector bodies.
