Van P. East, III Joins Frost Brown Todd’s Nashville Office

Frost Brown Todd is pleased to announce the arrival of Van P. East, III as a member at the firm’s growing Nashville office.  East serves his clients in matters involving commercial real estate and business transactions, as well as matters involving corporations, limited liability companies and other closely-held business entities.

“We are excited Van has joined Frost Brown Todd. His experience in the areas of real estate and corporate business will be crucial to building the firm’s Nashville presence and expanding our capabilities,” says Mekesha Montgomery, Member-in-Charge of Frost Brown Todd’s Nashville office.

East is a former Chairman of the Business Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association and a current member of its Executive Council.  Through his work with the TBA, East participated in drafting the Tennessee Revised Limited Liability Company Act, as well as other legislation involving Tennessee’s business entity statutes.  In addition, East served on the joint committee of the Real Estate and Business Law Sections that prepared the TBA Report on Third Party Closing Opinions.

Prior to joining the firm, East practiced law with the Nashville law firm of White& Reasor, where he started his legal career as an associate in 1987 and later became a member.
