Morrison & Foerster LLP is pleased to welcome Donald Lampe as a Partner in its Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Lampe, who joins the Financial Services Group, is a nationally recognized expert in bank regulatory and consumer financial services issues, with significant experience in mortgage regulation. Mr. Lampe advises banks, non-bank creditors, collection agencies, loan servicers and other financial services providers in connection with regulatory, compliance and administrative matters. He also has extensive experience representing industry respondents in significant investigations, examinations and enforcement matters.
“We are pleased to welcome Don to the firm, and look forward to seeing our clients benefit from his expertise and deep understanding of operational issues. Don’s addition also bolsters our recently expanded Mortgage and Fair Lending Group,” said Rick Fischer, Co-Head of Morrison & Foerster’s Financial Services Group. The firm’s consumer finance practice has always been a leader in assisting clients with new financial services and products, and Mr. Fischer noted that the same commitment will be brought to the Mortgage and Fair Lending Group. The firm enhanced its mortgage and fair lending expertise in 2012—adding Tom Noto and Leonard Chanin. Their experience assists clients in addressing regulatory matters in light of the vast new rules promulgated by the CFPB, and the renewed focus on fair lending matters by the CFPB and other federal agencies.
Mr. Lampe received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his S.B. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
