Marvin S. Lieber Joins Eckert Seamans Pittsburgh Office

Marvin S. Lieber has joined the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC as a Member in the firm’s Business Counseling, Estates and Trusts and Tax Groups.

Prior to joining the firm, Lieber has represented hospitals in mergers and acquisitions, as well as charities in litigation with parent organizations over severance of their relationships and distribution of assets. He has also performed pre-audits and settled Medicare and Medicaid audits for hospitals. Previously, Lieber represented the Pittsburgh Steelers in personnel and regulatory matters with the National Football League and has served as underwriters counsel in the bond issue for the construction of Consol Energy Center.

Marvin Lieber focuses his practice on taxation, estate planning and administration, banking, corporate law and health care matters. He has a broad-based legal practice, with an emphasis on business and commercial law, taxation, charitable organizations, educational institutions and health care representation. Marvin has represented homes for the aging in Allegheny County and other counties throughout the state, major national HMO’s, universities and colleges and numerous social service agencies, including a $40 million drug and alcohol agency.

Lieber earned his J.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. Lieber also has an O.P.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business. He is a Fellow in the College of Probate and Trust Counsel and was selected for inclusion in SuperLawyers and Best Lawyers in America.
