Simmons & Simmons Expands in Paris with the Appointment of a Competition Law Partner

Ombline Ancelin has joined the Paris office of international law firm Simmons & Simmons.

Her practice encompasses the full range of competition law, including merger control, anti-competitive practices, distribution and franchising, and also general EU law and consumer law. She works on both advisory and contentious matters, and litigates before the French Competition Authority, the Paris Court of Appeal and Commercial Courts.

Ombline has in-depth knowledge of the TMT and Energy & Infrastructure sectors, and has been very active in the Life Sciences sector for a number of years. She joins from Hogan Lovells, where she worked since 2001, most recently as an Of Counsel.

Commenting on the appointment, Life Sciences Sector Head at Simmons & Simmons, Jacques-Antoine Robert, said: ‘‘Ombline is an experienced and well known lawyer who will play an important role in leveraging her competition expertise from our leading Life Sciences Sector practice in Paris.’’

This is the second appointment to the Paris office of Simmons & Simmons in recent months, following the arrival of Corporate partner Noro-Lanto Ravisy in January this year.
