Jennifer D. Sawyer has joined McNair Law Firm, P.A.’s Bluffton office as a shareholder. Jennifer brings a growing legal practice from Savannah, Georgia and will focus on commercial real estate and finance in both South Carolina and Georgia.
Jennifer has noted experience representing clients in the acquisition, financing, disposition, construction, leasing and development of commercial, office, retail, warehouse, timber and industrial properties. She has served as counsel to local, regional and national buyers, sellers and developers of real estate in Georgia and South Carolina.

Jennifer earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2001. During her time there she was a member of the Order of the Wig & Robe Society as well as articles editor for the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal. She would be published in that same journal in 2003, as the co-author of “Shifting Sands: The Implication of Lucas on the Evolution of Takings Law and South Carolina’s Application of the Lucas Rule.” In addition to recognition for several publications, Jennifer is a past recipient of a CALI® Award, which is presented to the highest scoring student in each law school class.
Jennifer is actively involved in a number of professional associations and was most recently appointed to the Savannah Economic Development Authority’s advisory council. She is licensed to practice law in South Carolina and Georgia.
