Foster Pepper PLLC is pleased to welcome Robert Mahler as a member of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice where he will focus on white collar criminal defense, corporate internal investigations, regulatory defense, and complex civil litigation. Bob has more than 30 years of experience representing both corporations and individuals in a wide range of matters, including civil fraud claims, criminal investigations, antitrust investigations, bank and healthcare fraud, and allegations of criminal environmental contamination.
“With a more prominent focus by the government on investigation of corporate wrongdoing and compliance issues, white collar criminal defense has become an increasingly important service to provide clients. Bob has handled many high profile local white collar criminal cases and maintains a great depth of experience in these areas,” said Robert Kunold, Jr., the firm’s managing partner. “In addition, Bob is a terrific litigator who expands our deep litigation and dispute resolution practice. We are very excited to have Bob join Foster Pepper.”
Mahler is highly regarded in this field by both clients and peers, earning distinction as a Best Lawyer in America since 2008, as well as being ranked in Chambers USA Band 1 for Litigation: White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations since 2010. He was also ranked as one of the Top 100 by Washington Super Lawyers.
He is a member of the Washington Death Penalty Assistance Center’s advisory board, the American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice section, and the American Civil Liberties Union. Mahler joins the firm from Dorsey & Whitney LLP. He received his J.D. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his B.G.S. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
