Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce that attorneys Michael J. Zalewski, O. Kate Tragesser, Gina C. Adduci, and Minority Business Enterprise professional Maura L. Downs have joined the firm. Mr. Zalewski, a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, has joined the firm Of Counsel while Ms. Tragesser has joined as a Partner. Both will be members of the firm’s Business Practice Group. Ms. Tragesser will lead a team of experienced government contracting and M/W/DBE certification professionals.
Elected in 2008 to the Illinois House of Representatives, Mr. Zalewski currently represents the 23rd District which includes west and southwest Cook County. He will advise clients on a broad range of issues. Mr. Zalewski is a 2000 graduate of the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and received his law degree from the John Marshall Law School in 2003.
Ms. Tragesser, a former prosecutor for the City of Chicago, focuses her practice on government contracting at the federal, state, and local levels. She represents contractors and bidders, and advises clients on procurement and compliance, as well as the negotiation and drafting of government contracts. She has developed significant experience in M/W/DBE certification and compliance, tax increment financing, and economic development. She received her undergraduate degree from Xavier University in Economics and Marketing in 1998 and her J.D. from DePaul University Law School in 2001.

Joining Mr. Zalewski and Ms. Tragesser from their former firm will be associate attorney Gina Adduci and Minority Business Enterprise certification specialist Maura Downs.
