Veteran Litigator Joins Frost Brown Todd’s Columbus Office

Stephen E. Chappelear has joined Frost Brown Todd’s Business Litigation practice group in the Columbus office. Chappelear has 36 years of experience in more than 60 trials. His practice focuses in the areas of business and complex litigation, construction law, employment, and intellectual property litigation. At Chappelear’s previous firm, he served as managing partner for the Columbus office from 2004-2010.

A nationally recognized attorney, Chappelear has received numerous awards and honors. In 2011, he received the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s highest honor, the Ritter Award. This award recognizes the honoree’s accomplishments in attaining and promoting the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics in the practice of law while assisting other attorneys, the courts and the public to envision and cause changes which improve the justice system in Ohio. He has also received the Columbus Bar Association’s highest honor, the Bar Services Medal.

Chappelear is a member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates, Ohio State Bar Association Council of Delegates, and the National Council of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He is also the immediate past president of the National Conference of Bar Foundations and has served as president of The Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Foundation, and Columbus Bar Association.
