McDermott Adds M&A Partner in Frankfurt

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP today announced that Andreas Kurtze has joined the Firm as a partner in McDermott’s recently opened Frankfurt, Germany office.

Mr. Kurtze, who joins from another top corporate law firm in Frankfurt, focuses mainly on advising clients in the area of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and corporate law, and has headed numerous – mostly cross-border – M&A transactions over the past ten years. In most cases, he represented strategic buyers and has special expertise in a variety of industries including logistics, financial institutions, healthcare and steel.

McDermott’s Frankfurt office — its third in Germany — officially opened in May 2012. The new office expands McDermott’s presence in Germany while broadening and deepening the Firm’s Corporate practice in Europe. The office is led by leading corporate finance partner Philipp von Ilberg.
