Matthias Lichtblau joins Dentons as Germany COO

Frankfurt-Global law firm Dentons has hired Dr. Matthias Lichtblau as Germany Chief Operating Officer. He will join the Frankfurt office effective June 1, 2023.

In his new role, he will work closely with Germany Managing Partner Andreas Ziegenhagen, as well as Practice Group Leaders and Office Managing Partners in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf, to oversee the day-to-day operations and financial performance of Dentons’ four offices in Germany. He will also serve in a regional capacity as Director of Strategic Projects, where he will oversee the implementation of key strategic initiatives across Europe and Central Asia.

Matthias Lichtblau has more than 20 years’ experience in driving operational excellence, quality and growth in international law firms. Before joining Dentons, he served as the Global Executive Director at CMS Legal Services EEIG, and prior to that, he held senior business development and management roles at Clifford Chance. Most recently he was the Global Managing Director and COO and partner of the international tax consultancy WTS Global. Matthias holds an MBA and PhD degree in Business Administration.
