As of January 2019, Baker McKenzie expanded its Capital Markets team with Ulrich Weidemann as Counsel. Ulrich Weidemann joined Baker McKenzie from Memminger LLP. Prior to joining Memminger LLP, Ulrich Weidemann worked in the capital market practices at US law firm Shearman & Sterling LLP in Frankfurt (2013 to 2017) and at Freshfields Bruckhaus Dering LLP in Frankfurt and New York (2004 to 2013).

Ulrich Weidemann specializes in Capital Markets and Private Equity / M&A. Furthermore, he advises clients on regulatory issues as well as on capital markets litigation. Ulrich Weidemann in particular advises companies on initial public offerings (IPOs), capital increases, issuance of bonds, employee participation programs as well as other financings in industry sectors such as automobile, banking, finance, telecommunications, insurance, real estate and energy.
Most recently, Ulrich Weidemann advised Vitruvian Partners LLP on the sale of Linimed Gruppe GmbH and Hypo Real Estate Holding on the re-privatization and IPO of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
