Robert E. Holden and Ivan R. Reich Join Jones Walker LLP

Jones Walker LLP announced today that Robert E. “Bob” Holden and Ivan R. Reich have joined the firm. Mr. Holden joins as a partner with the firm’s Litigation Practice Group on the Environmental Team in New Orleans, and Mr. Reich joins as special counsel in the Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group in the Miami office.

About Robert E. Holden
Mr. Holden practices from the New Orleans office and focuses on providing clients with lawful solutions to environmental challenges. Mr. Holden’s clients include energy, chemical, and manufacturing companies across the southeastern United States and Gulf of Mexico. He also represents natural resources, petrochemical, and industrial companies.

He works with clients on Clean Air Act and Louisiana air control matters and, from 2010 to 2013, he led a team of attorneys on behalf of BP in the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Throughout his career, Mr. Holden has served in several leadership capacities for various local and national environmental counsels.

Mr. Holden received his juris doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law, where he was a member of the University of Florida Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science from Florida State University.

About Ivan R. Reich
Mr. Reich joins the firm’s Miami office and focuses on bankruptcy matters and corporate reorganizations. His experience includes litigating bankruptcy matters relating to banking, lender liability, securities asset protection, foreclosures, and both federal and state appeals. Mr. Reich is a past president of the Commercial Law League of America, the nation’s oldest and largest creditors’ rights organization, and he has been listed annually since 2008 in Florida Super Lawyers in the area of Bankruptcy.

Mr. Reich was an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, where he taught bankruptcy law. He also previously worked as a staff member on the U.S. Senate Governmental Affairs Committee for former Vice President Albert Gore Jr., as well as on Mr. Gore’s senatorial and presidential campaigns.

Mr. Reich received his juris doctor degree with honors from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was an associate managing editor of the Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.
