Jones Day Expands Labor & Employment Practice in Germany With Arrival of Dr. Paul Melot de Beauregard and Team

The global law firm Jones Day announces that Dr. Paul Melot de Beauregard, a renowned and experienced labor & employment lawyer, has joined the Firm as a partner in Düsseldorf.

Dr. Melot de Beauregard’s arrival is part of Jones Day’s continued expansion in Germany, which numbers more than 100 lawyers across offices in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, and Munich. Joining with him as associates are Maximilian Baur in Munich and Dr. Julius Arden in Düsseldorf. They join the Firm’s Labor & Employment Practice, which consists of more than 130 lawyers globally. Dr. Melot de Beauregard has more than 17 years of experience in complex restructurings and complex labor & employment litigation, negotiations with labor unions and works councils, and advising supervisory boards, boards of directors, and managing directors with regard to liability issues, including directors and officers liability insurance. He also advises on benefits and service agreements with board members, managing directors, and senior executives, as well as on compliance issues, operational pensions, and outsourcing. Dr. Melot de Beauregard has longstanding experience with separation and liability processes in and out of court.

Mr. Baur counsels clients on all matters concerning labor & employment law, including litigation matters, negotiations with works councils, structuring service and termination agreements, and all employment-related questions in connection with M&A transactions and restructurings. Dr. Arden is experienced in a variety of legal matters related to labor & employment issues.
