K&L Gates Furthers Middle East Corporate Practice with Dubai Partner Addition

The Dubai office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Omar Momany as a partner in the corporate practice. Momany joins the firm from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.

With a practice that encompasses mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, corporate governance, arbitration, and joint ventures both in the UAE and the Middle East region, Momany advises international and domestic clients, investment funds, banks, and private and public companies in the real estate, financial services, transportation, and retail sectors. A fluent Arabic speaker with substantial experience in the GCC region, he also has counseled on the drafting of legislation concerning the establishment of free zones, competition and antitrust, e-commerce, transportation, and traffic.

“Omar’s arrival at K&L Gates deepens our UAE law capability and represents a further boost for our regional corporate practice,” said Neal Brendel, a founding partner of K&L Gates’ Dubai office. “I am delighted that Omar is joining the firm.”

Momany commented: “I am pleased to have been welcomed into the partnership at K&L Gates, and I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues across the firm’s network to grow the corporate practice in the Middle East. The dynamic and collaborative culture of the firm offers an excellent platform for providing high quality and seamless service to existing and new clients.”

Momany’s arrival boosts K&L Gates’ Middle East corporate practice to four partners across the firm’s Dubai and Doha offices and also follows the recent addition of finance partner Natalie Boyd in Dubai.
