BLP Opens New Office in Dubai – Office Reinforces the Firm’s Commitment to the Middle East Region

International law firm, Berwin Leighton Paisner, is pleased to announce that it has opened an office in Dubai, its second in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The new office, working closely with the Abu Dhabi office, provides clients with a comprehensive range of legal services for the real estate sector. The Dubai office marks the next step in BLP’s regional strategy and demonstrates the firm’s commitment to the UAE.

The Dubai office will be headed by real estate partner, Mohammed Kamal, and will provide a range of legal services in the areas of real estate, planning and regulatory, construction, corporate, finance, projects and dispute resolution. This focussed approach to the market enables the firm to draw on its pre-eminent knowledge of the real estate industry to provide a first class service to developers, investors, funds, financial institutions and government bodies. It also mirrors the offering provided by the firm’s Abu Dhabi office.

“This is an important milestone in our on-going strategy for the region. Dubai has long been recognised as a leading regional financial centre and business hub and it is a strategically important market for us. Historically, real estate has underpinned the majority of business conducted in Dubai and we have seen investor confidence in this sector grow steadily over the last two years. Following the success we have had in Abu Dhabi, we decided to establish a presence in Dubai in order to better serve our clients”,said Mohammed.

BLP’s Dubai office became operational this month and will work closely with the Abu Dhabi office. With a presence in Dubai it will be in a better position to support clients on inbound and outbound transactions across the region and other markets around the world.

Neville Eisenberg, Managing Partner at BLP, said: “Having an office in Dubai is an important part of our long term strategic plan for the Middle East and the development of our international footprint. We represent a number of clients who increasingly require our support across the Gulf, North Africa and West Asia. Our Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices act as gateways to these markets.”
