Squire Patton Boggs Welcomes Energy, Natural Resources and Environmental, Safety & Health Attorneys in Denver

Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce the addition of partner Ghislaine Torres Bruner and of counsel Orintha “Rin” Karns to its global Environmental, Safety & Health Practice. They join the firm from Polsinelli.

Ms. Torres Bruner focuses her practice on representing clients in complex litigation, regulatory and energy transactional matters. She counsels energy clients through all aspects of planning, siting, permitting issues and complex litigation affecting natural resource and energy companies, including complicated and sometimes contentious issues impacting exploration and production of oil, gas and other mineral assets and has recently been recognized as Law Dragon 500 in Energy Litigation and previously as a Top Women in Energy. Ms. Torres Bruner is licensed in six states also counsels health care and real estate clients, as well as aquaculture and agriculture companies.

Ms. Karns is an experienced litigator with deep understanding of the oil and gas industry. She has tried a wide range of disputes in both Wyoming and Colorado, including high-stakes oil and gas exploration and production disputes, oil refinery blow-outs, surface access disputes and quiet title, mineral ownership or leasehold ownership disputes, real estate matters and business divorces including advising private companies in disputes among LLC managers and members. Ms. Karns recently served as faculty for the Foundation for Natural Resources Law regarding federal laws.

Ms. Torres Bruner and Ms. Karns co-chair the Oil and Gas Committee for the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER).
