Polsinelli Grows Executive Compensation Capabilities with New Shareholder George Tsai

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has welcomed George Tsai as a shareholder in the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice, where he will work closely with the firm’s Corporate and Private Equity M&A Practices. Joining Polsinelli’s Denver office, Tsai is an experienced adviser in the highly complex and technical practice area of employee benefits and executive compensation.  Tsai joins the firm from Shearman & Howard LLC in Denver.

As a dedicated EBEC attorney, Tsai frequently counsels clients on executive and incentive compensation issues. He has assisted public and private companies to structure and implement various equity and equity-based incentive plans and awards. He advises on broad-based plans as well as individualized arrangements, including executive employment, retention and severance agreements. In addition to representing companies, he represents individual executives and management groups on executive compensation matters. He also has extensive experience advising on qualified retirement plans, including ESOPs.

In his transactional practice representing both buyers and sellers, Tsai provides comprehensive benefits diligence support, negotiates transactional benefits issues, and advises on benefits transitions and integration. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
