FisherBroyles Welcomes Joseph DiRago from Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in Denver.

FisherBroyles, LLP is pleased to announce Joseph DiRago has joined the Firm in Denver as a Partner. Joseph is a Real Estate and Energy partner and joins the Firm’s Corporate Department from Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP.

Joseph is a trusted counselor to clients in a variety of real estate, energy, and utility transactions. His breadth of experience spans traditional real estate transactions, oil and gas, municipal law, utility law, finance, and bankruptcy law.

Joseph’s practice includes representing real estate clients on lease negotiations, acquisitions of new land and buildings for business expansion or relocation, dispositions of real property, easements, land use and zoning, and real estate financings. Notably, he counseled clients on the sale of an office park consisting of seven buildings, 1.1 million square feet of office space and 66 developable acres; and amended the Zoning Code for the City and County of Denver to permit additional uses of setbacks for utilities.

Joseph also represents energy, electric, and gas utilities, and oil and gas companies in real estate transactions, government permitting and municipal law issues. His experience includes counseling a client through the acquisition of property rights for a 600-megawatt wind generating project – the largest in Colorado; and negotiating Utility Relocation Agreements (URA) with government agencies for major transportation and infrastructure development projects.

Joseph received a B.A., magna cum laude, from Drake University, a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law.
