Former DOL Litigator Michelle Duncan Joins Jackson Lewis in Denver

Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce that Michelle Duncan has joined the firm’s Denver office as Partner. She brings to Jackson Lewis over 13 years of experience in the labor and employment field, with a particular emphasis on OFCCP, OSHA and Wage and Hour litigation.

Prior to her arrival at Jackson Lewis, Ms. Duncan served as a Senior Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Solicitor, first in Dallas from 2003 to 2008 and more recently in Denver from 2008 until the present. From 1998 to 2003, Ms. Duncan worked in the DOL’s Civil Rights Division in Washington, D.C.

While working for the DOL’s Denver Regional Office, Ms. Duncan handled all pre-litigation and litigation matters for the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota and Montana. , She provided legal and enforcement training to the OFCCP as well as attorneys who litigate OFCCP cases. Ms. Duncan also served as lead counsel on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Wage and Hour Division enforcement cases and defended the Secretary of Labor in cases before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Merit Systems Protection Board.

Ms. Duncan is admitted to practice law in the states of Colorado and Maryland. She received her B.A. in American Public Affairs from James Madison College at Michigan State University in 1993 and earned her J.D. from the Washington College of Law at American University in 1998.
