Barnes & Thornburg has added Jerry C. Harris, Jr. as partner in its Dallas office. Harris is the latest addition to the firm’s expanding Intellectual Property Department, following Kurt Rohde’s move to the Chicago office in early July. Harris joins the firm from Wick Phillips in Dallas.

Frost Brown Todd (FBT) is expanding its Texas presence with a new office in Houston. Zenobia Harris Bivens, a Houston native, will act as the office’s member-in-charge. The firm has already brought on eight additional attorneys with experience in a variety of industries, including energy, construction, manufacturing, health care, sports & entertainment, and finance. Several of the attorneys join FBT from their former firm McFall, Breitbeil & Eidman, P.C., from which they bring their boutique commercial and oil & gas sector litigation practice. They include Members Kenneth Breitbeil, Greg Eidman, Courtney Gahm-Oldham, and Associate Stephen Crowder. Former XFL Houston Roughnecks President Brian Michael Cooper returns to private practice as a member at FBT. Members Cleve Glenn and Patrick LaRue recently joined from Lewis Brisbois, and Member Ken Bullock joins from Munsch Hardt.

Brian Bolton has rejoined Locke Lord’s Dallas office as a Partner in the Firm’s renowned Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Practice Group. Bolton will primarily support the Firm’s real estate acquisition and finance practice. Bolton, who was at the Firm earlier in his career, rejoins Locke Lord from Goldman Sachs where he served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel.

Mass tort and product liability litigator Dawn Wright has joined Thompson Coburn’s Dallas office as a partner. Dawn was previously a partner at Thompson & Knight, where she served as the chair of the firm’s industry group for torts, products liability, transportation, chemicals, and manufacturing.
