K&L Gates Strengthens Corporate Practice with Dallas Additions

Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Virginia Peters as a partner in the Corporate practice, accompanied by both Michelle Boudreau and Laura Braasch as counsel. They join the firm’s Dallas office from Winston & Strawn LLP.

Peters concentrates her practice on private equity, corporate governance, general corporate law, disclosure procedures, and human capital management. She partners with in-house counsel at companies to provide tailored support throughout their legal departments and operational teams.

“We are very excited about Virginia and her team joining the Dallas office,” said Michael Cuda, managing partner of K&L Gates’ Dallas office. “Virginia brings a dynamic practice supporting private equity firms and their portfolio companies, which makes her and her team ideal additions to the K&L Gates family.”

Peters’ arrival follows a number of other recent additions to K&L Gates in Texas, including partners Sheila Armstrong (Government Contracts), Andrea Cunha (Health Care), Maria Faconti (Power), Chris Graff (IP), Brian Kilmer (Restructuring and Insolvency), and Colin Rose (IP), and of counsel Felisa Sanchez (Maritime).

K&L Gates’ presence in Texas spans more than 40 years with offices in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston. Collectively, the firm’s lawyers in Texas provide comprehensive legal services to public and private businesses across all industry sectors on national and international matters, in addition to those involving Texas-specific law.

Adam Tejeda, a leader of the firm’s global Corporate practice area, commented: “Virginia and her team have considerable experience in a variety of private equity and transactional matters that will benefit many of our clients in Texas and beyond. We are delighted to have them join our Corporate group.”

K&L Gates’ Corporate practice is one of the most substantial in the legal industry, with more than 500 lawyers in offices on five continents assisting clients in the structuring, financing, and completion of domestic, international, and cross-border transactions. The group serves as counsel to a broad array of Global 500, Fortune 100, FTSE 100 corporations, privately held and venture-backed companies, partnerships, private equity firms, other investment funds, management groups, and entrepreneurs, helping to earn K&L Gates the distinction of Corporate “Law Firm of the Year” in U.S. News-Best Lawyers’ 2022 “Best Law Firms” report.
