Accomplished Litigator Chelsea Hilliard Joins McGuireWoods as Partner in Dallas

Chelsea Hilliard has joined McGuireWoods’ commercial litigation practice as a partner in Dallas, bringing more than a decade of experience representing clients in high-stakes litigation and corporate governance matters.  She joins McGuireWoods from Foley & Lardner.

Hilliard counsels companies in litigation arising out of mergers and acquisitions, particularly venture capital or private equity-financed investments. She handles stockholder derivative cases, securities class actions, internal investigations, and investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice. In addition, she advises companies on risk management, corporate governance and investment matters.

Hilliard has represented companies across industries, including financial services, institutional investing, energy, healthcare and manufacturing.

Hilliard serves as director and vice president of mentoring for the Dallas Women Lawyers Association (DWLA) and co-chairs the Women’s Mentoring Circles Program, a joint initiative of DWLA and the Dallas Young Lawyers Association. She also co-chairs the Dallas Bar Association’s Judiciary and Judicial Investiture Committee. Hilliard has been named to D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers Under 40” for six straight years.
