Burr & Forman is pleased to announce that Elizabeth (Beth) C. Warren has joined the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina, office as counsel in the Healthcare practice group. Beth joins the firm from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Carolina, where she most recently served as Assistant U.S. Attorney and Chief of the Civil Division. Her work focused on False Claims Act enforcement and healthcare fraud and abuse issues.

Her perspective will be invaluable to healthcare organizations across the Carolinas facing heightened regulatory scrutiny and enforcement risk.”
Beth will advise healthcare providers facing federal enforcement exposure, including matters involving the False Claims Act, civil investigative demands, internal compliance failures with potential whistleblower implications, and parallel civil and criminal inquiries.
Beth received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Georgia.
