Former Assistant US Attorney Joins Squire Patton Boggs

Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce the addition of Marisa Darden, former Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, as principal in the firm’s Government Investigations & White Collar Practice. Ms. Darden is based in the firm’s Cleveland office.

“Marisa’s experience handling complex domestic and international criminal matters adds even greater depth to our global white collar, investigations and complex litigation practice, which remains in growth mode,” said Joseph Walker, partner and head of the firm’s Government & White Collar Practice.

Ms. Darden has spent the past five years working in the US Attorney’s Office investigating, indicting and trying significant criminal matters. Prior to her time in Ohio, she worked at the New York County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney, where she managed a large caseload of general misdemeanors and felonies, while also serving as first chair and second chair in multiple trials. Ms. Darden clerked for the Honorable Morrison C. England Jr. in the Eastern District of California. Before her public sector work, Ms. Darden worked in private practice as a litigator in New York.

“Squire Patton Boggs’ coordinated global team of accomplished lawyers made the firm an appealing destination to return to private practice,” said Ms. Darden. “I look forward to working alongside my new colleagues throughout the firm.”
