FaegreBD Strengthens International Corporate Practice With Ted Cominos and Cristina Audran-Proca

Faegre Baker Daniels has added experienced corporate partner Ted Cominos, in Chicago, and counsel Cristina Audran-Proca, who joins in the firm’s London office. Both attorneys come from Locke Lord LLP.

Cominos brings substantial experience with private equity-backed M&A transactions across borders, particularly representing clients in relation to their acquisitions in Europe and neighboring countries including Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Turkey and North Africa, as well as European clients in relation to their mergers and acquisitions in the USA.

He has advised on private equity fund formation, corporate commercial transactions and acquisitions/disposals. He also counsels management teams on their spin-outs, fund buyouts, first-time funds and successor funds across sectors and jurisdictions.

Cominos previously served as a partner and Chair of Locke Lord LLP’s Cross-Border Transactions practice group and Head of Linklater’s Central and Eastern European Private Equity group. He also headed the International Private Equity Practice for CMS Cameron McKenna LLP.

Cominos earned his bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of California, Davis, an M.B.A. in international management from Monterey Institute of International Studies, and his J.D. from Monterey college of Law. He is admitted to the bar in Illinois and California.

Audran-Proca joins Cominos from Locke Lorde as counsel in the London office. She also has extensive experience advising on corporate mergers and acquisitions, focusing on cross-border private equity and venture capital transactions in Europe with significant experience in France, CEE and Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa, and the U.S. She has coordinated numerous large scale as well as mid-size transactions of various kinds and in multiple sectors. She holds her bachelor’s degree and an M.A. in business and economics law from the University of Paris I, along with a Bachelor of Laws from Bucharest University School of Law.
