Benesch Adds Corporate and Securities Partner to Chicago Office

The firm is pleased to announce the addition of partner Daryll Marshall to its Chicago office. Marshall joins the Corporate & Securities Practice Group as Chair of the Corporate/Private Equity Finance Group.

“Daryll is an excellent addition to the firm,” said Gregg Eisenberg, Managing Partner and Executive Committee Member. “He provides our clients with creative solutions to complex business problems and has established a successful track record of working with top lenders and borrowers from around the country.”

With over 20 years of experience, Marshall represents lenders and borrowers, but primarily focuses on private equity sponsors, public and private corporate borrowers in connection with leveraged buyout financings for acquisitions, working capital facilities, recapitalizations and portfolio restructuring transactions across a broad range of business sectors, including technology, apparel, transportation, automotive, energy, healthcare, manufacturing and professional services.

Marshall has led complex financing transactions, both secured and unsecured, cross border transactions, senior and subordinated loan transactions, second lien, mezzanine, bridge and asset-based financings. Financings range in size from several millions of dollars to billions of dollars. He also has extensive experience representing debtors in loan workouts and in-court and out-of-court restructurings, including debtor-in-possession facilities and exit financings.

He graduated from the Boston University School of Law and Temple University.

Marshall is joining Benesch’s Chicago office during a time of significant growth for the firm. More than 70 attorneys have joined the firm in the last 18 months. Since making its debut on the AmLaw 200 list in 2016, the firm has advanced 19 places and is currently ranked at number 176.

The announcement of the hiring follows Benesch’s move to a new location in Chicago. The office, at 71 S. Wacker Dr., includes 64,000 square-feet of space, and is ready to house approximately 90 attorneys.
