Morgan Lewis Adds Project Finance and Infrastructure Partner in Boston

Morgan Lewis today welcomes corporate partner Amy Maloney, who represents a wide variety of participants in project finance and infrastructure transactions. She arrives from Latham & Watkins and will be resident in Boston.

Ms. Maloney represents sponsors and developers as well as financial institutions in connection with the development, construction, operation, and debt and equity financing of domestic and cross-border energy projects, including renewable assets, gas and liquids pipelines, natural gas and coal-fired power plants, transmission assets, liquefied natural gas processing facilities, and fuel storage facilities.

“Amy’s arrival deepens our capabilities to serve clients in the important project finance and infrastructure sector, which is expected to experience significant growth worldwide over the next 10 years,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “She particularly strengthens our services for institutional lenders in this space.”

Ms. Maloney has worked extensively with project finance lenders, and has advised placement agents on “agented” private placement project finance deals. She recently has represented participants in financings related to large wind farms in Nebraska and New Mexico, hydroelectric projects in Pennsylvania, and solar farms in Hawaii.

“I am delighted that Amy is joining our firm, where she will play an important role in expanding the reach of our lender-side and sponsor-side project finance and infrastructure team,” said Steve Browne, head of Morgan Lewis’s global corporate and business transactions practice. “Amy’s work on behalf of investors and lenders associated with a broad range of renewable and other energy projects will make her an ideal adviser for companies seeking to participate in those vital undertakings.”
