Eckert Seamans Expands Corporate Capabilities in Boston with the Addition of Michael Horner

Eckert Seamans is pleased to welcome Member Michael Horner to the firm’s Boston office. His practice has involved corporate finance, governance, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions, both in private practice and as in-house counsel. Horner joins from Morrison & Foerster.

In the private sector, Horner’s experience has involved leading teams across various disciplines, including operations, corporate governance, legal, finance, banking, and compliance.
Before joining private practice, Horner served in the US Army, including assignments with Special Operations Command, overseeing a team of 25 officers and over 100 enlisted personnel, and commanded operations in countries worldwide.

Horner earned his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law and an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Illinois. Horner is active in the community through volunteer work with Boston Cares.
