Bingna Guo Joins White & Case as a Partner in Beijing

Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global White Collar Practice with the addition of Bingna Guo as a new partner in Beijing. She joins White & Case from O’Melveny & Myers, where she has spent her entire career to date and was a partner from 2012, and brings nearly 20 years of experience.

“There is a significantly increasing demand in China for white collar advice and support related to a broad array of compliance issues in cross-border transactions, including with respect to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws,” said White & Case partner Darryl Lew, who leads the Firm’s Global White Collar Practice. “Chinese companies are increasingly exposed to compliance risks as they continue to expand into and invest in international markets. Bingna’s arrival strengthens our global white collar team and increases the support we provide to our clients on both national and international matters.”

Bingna has broad white collar experience in internal investigations and providing compliance advice and representation on domestic and cross-border matters for multinational companies, including in relation to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, fraud, embezzlement, conflicts of interest investigations, compliance risk assessment and pre-transaction compliance diligence. She also advises companies on comprehensive compliance programmes and training. In addition to her white collar experience, Bingna also has significant experience in cross-border litigation, international commercial arbitration and mediation, regulatory matters, crisis management and complex commercial litigation.

“China continues to be a key Asia-Pacific jurisdiction in which White & Case is targeting further growth,” said White & Case partner Alex Zhang, who heads the Firm’s practice in China. “Bingna, an experienced and highly capable partner with strong client relationships and an excellent market reputation, is an exciting addition to our team who adds further breadth and depth to the Firm’s practice in China.”

White & Case partner Eric Berg, Head of Asia-Pacific, said: “White & Case continues to grow in Asia-Pacific in line with our 2020 strategy. Since the beginning of 2015, we’ve opened two new offices in Australia, where we now have 15 project finance and disputes partners, as well as a new office in Korea. During the same period, eight new lateral partners have joined White & Case in other Asia-Pacific offices in our strategically important disputes, finance and M&A practices.”
